I am in big trouble ever since dealt with Sunboost. Looks like I am dealing with some habitual and compulsive liars. Before contract, they were receiving calls on a first beep, ow not responding to my calls and emails....My ratings are as below 1. Response after installation 0/10 2. Skills and craftsmanship of installers 0/10 3. Inverter quality 1/10 The installers were un skilled and did a mess everywhere. Damaged many tiles and hid that from me. They scared my neighbors while they were working on my roof. Threw many heavy tiles in the neighbors garden. (Thanks Goodness, no one was hurt). And we cleared the mess after they were gone. They damage my roof many places and the rain water seeping through from many places. I have a new house. Called them and they came to fix those. (Long story how did I manage to get them there). Now it?s been almost a month for the roof repair and paint (as they committed). But still not answering. They are very very unprofessional and misleaders and tell lies to the customers. After deposit, they took almost a month for installation. Still waiting for the reply from [name removed] (Sunboost) and the installer for the roof repair. She is not responding. I am seriously planning to drag them into consumer court if they don?t turn back to me. My advice to all is ?please keep away from Sunboost?

After seeing there add on tv and the internet, I decided to get a quote, they quoted $5200 when advertised on tv and the internet for $3,491. When asked what's going on they told us they could not do it for that price, due to availability but if we paid a deposit and signed up to buy they would do it for that price as a special deal. Then I asked for in writing Warranty on the panels and inverter and ask for the inverter warranty to be extended to 10 years . And the installation time. They were happy to put this on the quote so we paid the deposit. Out comes the contract with none of those terms and condition but a condition never discussed. " 6 free panels includes in quote (6 free panels if not installed will not be reimbursed due to less roof space) They included a clause to get them out of installing the panels if they choose not mentioned or agreed upon. They will lie and deceive to get a sale.. What confidence does that give you in their service. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY DONT TAKE THE RISK... THEY HAVE INCLUDED LOOPHOLES THEY HOPE YOU WONT NOTICE. ONCE SIGNED , YOUR SCREWED.

On first contact to get a quote, I was almost immediately quizzed if I could do a deal right now today in this phone call for "best price" After discussing what I was looking for (good quality panels and inverter, at a similar price to all the offers floating around for the same) I was offered a marginally cheaper price than the going rate - but on pressing for details this was for sub-par equipment. When I asked for a good name brand inverter the price went up by $1200 (the salesman insisted it was $1100 more, I suspect his calculator is broken) and the lies began that the better inverter was not battery ready, did not have wifi and was harder to install so costs more. None of that could be further from the truth, so I politely declined and ended the phone call. Then the phone calls and text messages begin, telling me to just listen and hear out their sales pitch. Now they will still not leave me alone, continuing to text and push for the sale despite being asked not to numerous times. Very very dodgy sales tactics, I will not be buying anything from them, if this is their sales team I would hate to imagine what they would be like if I ever needed warranty or after sales support.

I requested a quote today and the sales guy pressured me for a deposit before he provided a written quote. I refused to pay the deposit without a formal quote. When the quote came I accepted it and paid the $300 deposit. The sales guy then phoned me back and asked for an additional $200. I asked to speak to his manager. When the manager rang me back he asked for an additional $1,000 to do the job. I told him that this is very unethical to try to increase the price after the quote was accepted and the deposit paid. Several phone calls later he told me that they were not going to do the job and he would be returning my deposit today. After reading some reviews there are a lot of other customers waiting for their money back or their jobs to be completed. Look for a different supplier.

Well I decided not to proceed with the installing after [name removed] from sunboost told me the panels would be wired up in a string rather that individual panels to the solar edge inverter. So I was informed by [name removed] that there would be a $150 administration fee on my $200 deposit ...which is blatant theft.... Remember nothing pays like white collar crime.

Daniel the installer coordinator for sunboost has no honor and cant keep his word one more broken promise after another , no communication ,very unworthy , still waiting two month to have a hybrid inverter and a battery and always making promise of when its going to be installed . You cant get a hold of him , phone goes to answering machine that you cant even leave a massage on from its implying that no one there to answer the phone to end of recording and hangs up on you, emails go unanswered, even Their site wont let you write a bad review

If you have a black asbestos board inside your fuse box even you have an alternative to standard meter box. The delightful installation crew will just put the panels on your roof and leave you with the impression that your retailer will connect the smart meter without them connecting a meter isolation link and never return. Only if they can do an additional $500+ worth of work will they come back. So get another solar electrician to complete the installation after 3 months for $220 thanks [name removed] and [name removed].

I'm looking what Solar might be able to do in my situation when I saw the Sunboost ad. Great looking price. When I spoke the salesman on the phone he told me a higher price and claimed it was because the government had just changed some things. I couldn't find out anything searching for this so I challenged him. FYI, it is illegal in Australia to advertise a price and then not honor it. Ironically three days later they are still advertising it on their web site. So this was lie number 1 which I thought ok lets keep going I can negotiate my way around that. I have two very large tree?s in my neighbours property on the north side that concerned me with shade during the winter. I made him aware of this and he told me that once I pay the $300 he would arrange an installer to do an inspection. I asked him a few times to go and look on the website that shows the shading through the year. His response was that the installer does that and to pay the $300 deposit and he would get the installer to check but he believed I may get a small amount of shadow so would still benefit and I can trust him because he is going to look after me (yeh already been 1 lie). He told me the performance of the system is guaranteed for 25 years. He said it in a way that implied it would be the same performance throughout the 25 years which is lie 2. It is not and any solar panel manufacturer will tell you that. I asked to see the terms and conditions where the words are that detail the warranty and very reluctantly he sent the details (took 3 attempts). There are quite a few things in the terms and conditions I didn?t like so I told him. He told me we can change it but first have to pay the $300 deposit. Sunboost only provide a 1 year guarantee. They don?t guarantee installation. They make the customer responsible for making sure everything like the roof etc is good (how would the customer know, they are the experts). According to their terms and conditions you don?t get a refund option under the Australian consumer law. There are hidden fees and charges that they don?t tell you about. There are many issues. All the time he kept insisting I had to pay today the $300 deposit or I would miss out on the price that was higher than they are still advertising. In the mean time I got onto another solar company to see if I can find out and I did. From Apr to Sep I have shade issue with May showing the whole house in shade. With that knowledge all negotiations ceased.

This is a very unprofessional outfit. They did not measure the roof first, they sold me a system that they could not fit. The fitment is carried out by sub-contractors, that demand payment upfront before installation. Once I refused to pay until the installation was done, it went pear-shaped. They could not fit the system anyway, not enough room on the roof. They made a counter-offer that could not be accepted, based on a demand for full upfront payment, which is crazy on a capital expense item.To make matters worse, only half a refund of the deposit. This was the most unprofessional experience I have had thus far.I would not recommend them at all.
