If asked for 1 word to describe this company I would have to say � �hopeless�. Now let me explain why. In response to my escalating power bills along with a desire to reduce my carbon footprint I contacted Sunboost on 23rd January 2021 to enquire about solar panels. I agreed to pay the required deposit with the understanding the panels would be installed within 6 to 8 weeks. To my surprise, I was informed a pre-inspection was not necessary. It was then the saga began. I was required to supply photographs of the power board along with copies of my power bill and gain agreement from my power supplier to replace the current meter with a new smart meter. I did all this as requested. I was then informed by my Strata Managers that approval from the Body Corporate was required before work could proceed and I would need to provide a Scope of Works and pay a fee of $770. When I informed Sunboost, they offered to arrange a pre-inspection and provide the required Scope of Works. In the week that followed I was bounced between the sales agent and the installation team and it would appear that neither was capable of communicating with the other. Finally, in the week commencing 15th March it seemed the respective parties had got their acts together and I was advised to expect a call from the installation team to arrange a date for the much-anticipated pre-installation inspection. Then out of the blue, the sales agent rang to say the project could not proceed with no explanation why. Then just minutes after that call, I received a call from the installation team to arrange a date for the pre-installation inspection. When I said I had just been told the project had been terminated � they were equally surprised and asked if I could explain why. But, like the installation team � I was not told why. It has been a totally bewildering and frustrating process � all for nothing. I guess I should be grateful as based on this, one can only wonder the quality of work they would have done.

Called up about the pending installation, get told over a couple months I�ll get a call back. Never once got a call back. Just wanting final quote.. On the phone to the installation manger, get told he will send me an email because every part of my journey was made difficult by bad service. He never sent the email or better yet still didn�t send me the final quote after they got here on site to check the job out. (This is for a double installation) Without going into too much detail, I can�t think of a worse company to deal with over the phone.

I had agreed to them installing a 6.6kw system at my property, on the day of install the electrician rang me and said there was not enough room on the roof to install a 6.6kw system and could only put a 5.2 kw system, then the electrician said it would be an extra $220 to upgrade the fuse box and put in more breakers. On completion of job, i had another electrician inspect and showed him the before and after photos of fuse box and he stated that nothing extra was done then there was the problem of negotiating with sunboost for a refund of the difference between 6,6kw and 5,2 kw systems all the would refund me was the price of 4 solar panel that was it. What about the labour saving there for the electrician. Be very warry of this company. Oh and i never got to speak with someone from Australia so very hard to understand and communicate.

installation took 2 months, System still is not working there will be delay another 2 weeks from electricity company. My neighbor went with Arise solar took him only one week. beside my roof is leaking too.

After failed install from another company I was considering returning to this company after having received a quote prior to other company. So glad I read the negative reviews -seems like I would have been in a whole world of hurt yet again. Do not bother to contact me as I have no interest in dealing with yet another dodgy business

Very disappointed with this company. Wasted 5 weeks of my time. I accepted their quote and placed a deposit on the job. Veronica then advised me I would have to supply up to 10 cement tiles in case the installers broke my roof tiles during the installation. I told her that this was NOT acceptable, as I expected tradespeople to rectify their own damages, and I would like to cancel the job if this was the case. She told me that this would be ok and she would sort it out. Five weeks later I had not heard from the company, so I rang them. They told me they could do the installation within the week, but I would have to supply 10 roof tiles in case their installers damaged my roof. I advised them I had stipulated this was NOT acceptable 5 weeks prior. Now they say this is not possible. I have cancelled the job and am annoyed that they have wasted 5 weeks of my time when I could have sourced another company to do the job. I could not recommend Sunboost.

Supplied and installed solar system, panels installed incorrectly too close to wall under eves effecting the performance big time . When reported to this company the wanted to charge me $450 to fix their mistake

Approximately 15 months after having a system installed by this company, I now have a system that maybe work as it is designed, 3months ago I checked roof spacing and being electrician I found that the wiring did not the the AS3000 standards and I believed the CEC regulations , what a joke form their executive down I feel that I have been given the run a round , ( can you please check this , can you please take readings of this what a joke ) the system has been now I believe been rewired as per CEC regulations and the AS 3000 + 5033 which they should have done from the beginning ,but no January 2020 until now what a run around , Sunboost said it was legal no it was not , I beg to ask the question do they know what they are talking about ?? I can only go on my experience but I would never deal with these people again or any one associated with them, Is it true that Bell Solar is the parent company and there is other solar companies attached under Bell Solar , if I could give a minus score of - 10 that would be too generous, I suggest to every one who has a system installed to have an independent review done by another accredited installer who has nothing to do with the company who installs the system , there have been several fires on Solar systems , and now Safe Work Australia are cracking down on these installers

After my complaint and my review from 6months ago, I even stated in my review that I will not be doing business with this company. Then a little while ago, maybe a month or so ago, I received another phone call to consider their business to install a solar system. I told the caller that I have already purchased a solar system through another company and was very happy with their service and installation. Today, I received another phone call! Sunboost wanted to offer me some sort of special on a solar system installation. Sunboost seems to be very pushy and refuse to understand the phrase, "No, I do not want your business," and they don't seem to understand, "Leave me alone, stop calling me."

CORRESPONDENCE Dear Sunboost, 1. My wife has taken the day off from work today to get this installation to today. 2. Installers arrived at about 10.00am 3. They had no plans 4. They had no equipment for power board or mains connection 5. The panels now will not fit where we agreed to 6. They would like to put the panels on the front of the house facing the road to where we agreed they could not go 7. The mains cannot be done where we agreed to and a box needs to be placed on the front of the entry gate where we again agreed that would not be installed there 8. It was discussed that some of the panels could be placed on the southern side of the roof today but that would incur more cost to install and I would have to pay that cost 9. You had photographs, plans and costings to complete this install TODAY 10. The installer could not contact Sunboost to discuss options 11. Installers left the site with no work started 12. I spent an hour of my day trying to sort out what you are contracted / engaged to do speaking with the team on site and their manager 13. What part of this sounds reasonable to you? 14. Call with a solution. Please advise..... 5 DAYS LATER NO SOLUTION GIVEN! After waiting quite some time to get solar installed we deal with incompetence! Someone needs to regulate this industry to save consumers from this type of behaviour. Very disappointed!
